Printable fax cover page, and cover page versus cover letter
A printable fax cover page is printed blank and filled by hand for a machine; a fax cover page printable version filled on screen becomes page one of an online send. Either way, check the page count and the callback number before sending. The difference from a cover letter is only tone: a cover page is boxes, a cover letter is sentences, and an office that sends to named people who must act on the fax often prefers the letter. What neither should carry is the content of the pages behind it. Keep the reference on page two, keep the cover to routing and the notice, and keep a copy of the cover page with the transmission report as the record of what was sent to whom.
